Cardano’s decentralized exchange (DEX) Sundae v3 has hit a new performance record with a staggering 9,264 orders in just 24 hours. This performance surge has caught the attention of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, who declared that the protocol is “waking up.”
Pi Lanningham, Sundae Labs CTO showed some impressive stats with an execution rate of 900 orders in just one block. Half of all trades were done within 30 seconds while approximately 90% were handled within less than four minutes making it obvious that improvements have been made regarding its effectiveness.
This surge in activity is happening against the backdrop of Cardano’s much-anticipated Chang Hard Fork upgrade scheduled for June. It was recently hinted by Hoskinson that Cardano Node is reaching version 9.0 thus signaling readiness for the upgrade.
Cardano ecosystem has been bustling with developments, including a shift towards decentralized governance. The company is currently in the process of rolling out Decentralized Representatives (dReps) to enhance community input in treasury control.
