Algorand Foundation has launched LiquidAuth, a decentralized authentication and communication solution aimed at reducing reliance on centralized systems like WalletConnect in the crypto ecosystem.
LiquidAuth leverages established standards such as FIDO2/Passkeys for authentication, ensuring messages are relayed without storing user data centrally. “Digital assets, including personal data, are frequent targets of attacks,” noted Algorand Foundation’s commitment to enhancing security across digital platforms.
According to Algorand’s news release, users and developers get a reliable, decentralized application that does not involve sharing personal data or the common permissions of centralized providers.
The tool lays the foundation for decentralization, which improves security by lessening the attack vector and compatibility with other projects in the Web3 world. Open-source consists of the public and has applications used in cryptocurrency wallets.
LiquidAuth also re-emphasizes the commitment of the Algorand Foundation to the development of decentralized solutions, promoting innovation and at the same time, avoiding the pitfalls of centralization of the digital economy and all industries related to it.
