Tech mogul Elon Musk and blockchain entrepreneur Justin Sun publicly declared their support for former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign shortly after an assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday.
Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has expressed his endorsement on X by sharing a photo of Trump raising his fist while guarded by the Secret Service. He later posted, “The last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt,”.
Justin Sun, the founder of the Tron blockchain, echoed Musk’s support, stating, “As the election approaches, I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery. He is a better choice for the crypto industry and can ensure fairer treatment.”
These endorsements come in the wake of Trump’s recent pro-crypto stance, including his commitment to stop “Joe Biden’s crusade to crush crypto” and accepting crypto donations for his campaign. Trump has positioned himself as a champion of the US crypto sector, advocating for America to lead in the global industry.
The rally incident and recent endorsements have bolstered Trump’s chances for re-election. According to an earlier report, Trump’s odds of winning the 2024 election have risen to 70%, compared to Biden’s 16%.
