Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has expressed concerns over the safety of tech mogul Elon Musk, in the wake of an assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump in an election rally in Pennsylvania.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hoskinson cited Musk’s persistent efforts to drive change across various industries as a probable cause for an attempt to assassinate him by the “deep state.”
In a tweet, Hoskinson outlined what he believes to be a typical progression for individuals who push for significant changes. He described three phases: social destruction, legal harassment and imprisonment, and finally, assassination attempts by a “lone wolf.”
According to Hoskinson, Musk may be nearing this third and most dangerous phase, citing he may be next to face assassination attempts.
These comments come following the recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a campaign event in Pennsylvania on Saturday. However, Trump escaped with minor injuries, and his campaign team has assured the public that he will continue with his scheduled campaigns.
In response to the attack on Trump, X users have advised Musk to enhance his personal security measures. Musk acknowledged these concerns, revealing that he has already been the target of two attacks in the past eight months. He stated that armed individuals were arrested near Tesla’s headquarters in Texas on both occasions.
The discussion surrounding Musk’s safety has intensified following his recent endorsement of Donald Trump for the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Musk reportedly made a donation to a Super Political Action Committee (PAC) supporting Trump’s re-election race.
