Eduard Gurinovich, a Russian IT entrepreneur known for founding CarPrice and CarMoney, is believed to be one of the key figures behind the creation of the game “Hamster Kombat.”Â
As per posts circulating on X, Gurinovich has taken a significant step to secure the game’s brand by applying to register the trademark “HAMSTER KOMBAT.”
Eduard Gurinovich, featured in Forbes’ 2019 30 Under 30 list, is a prominent venture capitalist. His company CarPrice raised $42 million and was among Europe’s top 100 startups. After leaving his CEO role at CarPrice in 2017, he invested in startups like Dbrain, R-Set, and blizkie.ru.
Sources claim that Hemster Kombat’s main domain as well as hamsterkombat.com were simultaneously registered two months before the game launch.  The email address ap[at]arenum.games, listed in the registry, belongs to the Cypriot company Arenum Ltd.
What connects this to Gurinocvich is the fact that he is a shareholder of Arenum Ltd along with fellow Russian entrepreneurs Alexander Zelenshchikov and Alexander Pasechnik.
The game has achieved unprecedented growth, with industry experts labeling it as the fastest-growing digital service globally. This rapid expansion has been likened to a runaway hamster wheel, reflecting the game’s swift and unstoppable rise in popularity.
The developers of Hamster Kombat have made a concerted effort to remain anonymous, emulating the secretive approach of figures like Satoshi Nakamoto. Despite their desire for privacy, they have shared insights into their vision for the game, highlighting its community-driven focus and long-term goals.
