WazirX-affected users have issued a comprehensive list of demands. This comes after a police complaint was filed regarding the $230 million hack, which has left many users concerned about their funds and the exchange’s future.
The list, presented by the WazirX community, outlines seven key demands aimed at addressing user concerns and restoring trust in the platform. These demands reflect the urgency and seriousness with which users are approaching the situation:
Enable Withdrawals: Users are calling for the immediate reopening of withdrawals for all unaffected funds. This includes both non-ERC20 coins and fiat INR, without any restrictions. The demand highlights the need for access to their assets while the situation is being resolved.
No Socialization of Losses: A written assurance is requested that users’ non-stolen funds will be fully restored. For those with stolen coins, the exchange must provide a clear recovery plan and estimated timeline.
No Bankruptcy: Users are demanding a pledge that WaziX will not file for bankruptcy. They also want full disclosure of Zanmai Labs’ and WazirX’s assets, including wallet addresses holding crypto funds.
Pre-Hack Snapshot: Any account snapshots used to determine losses should be taken before the hack occured. Post-hack trading should not be considered valid due to the missing funds.
No Censorship: The community is asking for the WazirX Telegram channel to be unblocked and for crypto influencers on Twitter, who have been vocal about the issue, to be reinstated. This is to ensure that all voices in the community are heard.
Restart the Platform: Users want the platform to be reopened for trading unaffected cryptocurrency pairs like Bitcoin, XRP, and Dogecoin. They argue that in the current volatile market, experienced traders need to seize opportunities.
Regular Updates: Lastly, the community demands daily updates from WazirX, with clear and transparent information about the recovery process and progress being made.
These demands reflect the urgency of the situation and the need for WazirX to restore trust and transparency. The community remains hopeful that their concerns will be addressed promptly and effectively.
