Binance.US users, get ready! The exchange is actively supporting the upcoming Polygon (MATIC) token migration to Polygon (POL), ensuring a smooth transition for your holdings. The exchange will automatically swap all MATIC tokens held on its platform to POL at a 1:1 ratio, ensuring a seamless transition for its users.
The migration is part of a broader network upgrade on the Polygon blockchain, which is scheduled for September 4th, 2024. Once the upgrade is complete, the MATIC ticker symbol will be delisted, and POL will become the new representation of the Polygon network token.
Binance.US has assured its users that the swap process will be handled entirely by the exchange, requiring no action from their part. The exchange will notify users of the exact timing of the swap closer to the migration date.
User should note that until POL is fully supported, any POL deposits made via the Polygon network will be credited to your account as MATIC.
Deposits and withdrawals of MATIC via the Ethereum (ERC20) network will remain operational unless otherwise communicated through the platform, status page, or supported assets list. After the migration, POL deposits and withdrawals will also be supported on the Ethereum (ERC20) network.
This development aligns with Binance.US’s commitment to providing its users with access to the latest and most innovative blockchain technologies. The Polygon network has gained significant traction in recent years due to its scalability and low transaction fees, making it a popular choice for developers and users alike.
With the migration to POL, Binance.US users can expect to benefit from the enhanced capabilities and potential growth opportunities offered by the Polygon network. The exchange’s support for the migration further solidifies its position as a leading player in the cryptocurrency market.
