Bybit is making headlines by sponsoring Ethereum’s first-ever “Attackathon,” a global hackathon aimed at boosting Ethereum’s security. Organized by Immunefi and the Ethereum Foundation, this event is set to enhance the Ethereum network’s safety and support public good projects.
Bybit’s significant contribution of 75 ETH—the largest so far—demonstrates its commitment to the Web3 community.
Ben Zhou, Bybit’s co-founder and CEO, expressed excitement about the sponsorship, stating, “Our sponsorship of the Ethereum Attackathon aligns with our mission to support the security and sustainability of the ecosystems vital to the global crypto community. By contributing to this event, we’re investing in a safer and more resilient Ethereum network.”
Beyond this, Bybit is also expanding its World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2024 prize pool to a record $10 million. This competition merges traditional and decentralized trading, offering traders a chance to shine in both centralized and decentralized exchanges.
Bybit’s investment in WSOT not only provides substantial prize money but also offers support and resources to emerging Web3 talent.
The Ethereum Attackathon, running for eight weeks, will bring together top minds to review Ethereum’s code. To raise over $2 million, including contributions from the Ethereum Foundation’s initial $500,000 seed, this initiative is set to play a crucial role in enhancing Ethereum’s security and fostering innovation in the crypto space.
