StepN Go has announced its second collaboration with German sports footwear retailer Adidas, unveiling the Genesis NFT sneaker collection on the Solana blockchain.
This partnership builds on the success of their initial launch in April 2024, aiming to deepen the intersection of fitness and digital fashion within the Web3 ecosystem. The Genesis Sneakers drop is positioned as an innovative blend of physical activity and digital collectibles, enhancing the appeal of both brands in the growing NFT marketplace.
The Genesis Sneakers will only be available through a raffle on MOOAR, the NFT marketplace created by FLS, the gaming and development team behind StepN. There will be 1,000 sneakers, each costing 10,000 GMT, StepN Go’s native cryptocurrency. Additionally, a refund will be provided for participants who don’t win.
Since its public beta launch in September 2024, StepN Go has garnered significant attention due to its unique features that reward users for their physical activities. One standout feature is the Haus, which allows users to lend their digital sneakers to friends.
This social aspect enhances user engagement and fosters a sense of community among participants. Additionally, the app includes a Fitness Level feature that rewards users with extra earnings for consistent physical activity, making every step a chance to earn more.
To complement these new features, StepN Go has introduced the Go Game Token (GGT), which users can earn by walking, jogging, or running with their digital sneakers. This new token operates similarly to the Green Satoshi Token (GST) from the original StepN app, which launched in 2021 and has become one of the largest move-to-earn games.
The app also incorporates social elements such as friend connections, messaging, and customizable avatars, allowing users to share their experiences and earn GMT rewards, further enhancing the overall experience.
