Crypto.com has announced its acquisition of Fintek Securities Pty Ltd., a brokerage and trading firm with an Australian Financial Services Licence. This deal brings Fintek, which operates under the oversight of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, into the Crypto.com fold, expanding its presence and regulatory footprint in Australia.
The move marks Crypto.com’s second acquisition aimed at expanding its traditional brokerage capabilities. Previously, the firm acquired SEC-registered Watchdog Capital, LLC, which further enhanced its ability to provide financial services to clients.
Crypto.com CEO Chris Marszalek confirmed that the acquisition is part of the company’s ongoing mission to provide comprehensive financial services.
“The goal is to create one destination for all financial services where users can simplify their experience and maximize rewards,” said Kris Marszalek.
Details on the launch of new services such as derivative securities for eligible users will be shared in the coming weeks.
This acquisition comes on the heels of several key developments at Crypto.com, including their ambitious product roadmap for 2025 and bringing a “level to” benefits and rewards experience to Crypto.com’s continued growth, independently establishing itself as a leader in the global financial services industry.
