Coinbase Assets announced via X (formerly Twitter) that it will support Movement (MOVE), an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum network.
According to the announcement, transfers for MOVE are now available on Coinbase Exchange in regions where trading is supported. Also, the MOVE-USD trading pair will be introduced gradually as more tokens become available. However, MOVE might not be available in all regions.
MOVE is part of a system of modular blockchains designed for developers to create fast, secure, and connected blockchain applications. It links the Move and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystems and is the first Move-EVM Layer 2 solution for Ethereum.
The project, led by Movement Labs, is supported by major investors like Polychain Capital, Binance Labs, Hack VC, Placeholder, and Archetype.
Trading is expected to start later today if there’s enough liquidity. Coinbase has listed MOVE under the “Experimental” label, indicating that it is a newer or less established asset on the platform. Users are advised to transfer MOVE only using the Ethereum network to avoid losing their fund.
