Women crypto investors in Hyderabad city of India rank first in the country in front of their male counterpart investors, thereby signaling a paradigm shift in how India invests in cryptocurrencies. As per a latest report “How India Invests in Crypto 2024”, released by CoinSwitch crypto exchange, women account for 45% crypto investors in Hyderabad, compared to 55% male investors in the historic city.
As per the CoinSwitch latest report, there are over 2 crore (20 million) crypto investors in India with only 11% women among them. Among Indian cities, Hyderabad city ranks 4th in the list with 5.1% of total investors in India. The first three spots went to Delhi NCR (20.1%), Bengaluru (9.1%) and Mumbai (6.5%).
Hyderabad is one of the historical cities of India and the capital of state of Telangana. It is the fourth most populous city in India with a blend of modernity and tradition with its people and culture boasting of a rich history. A melting point of different religions and cultures, Hyderabad with its pro-crypto stance truly resembles the modern day India.
As per the survey report, among Hyderabad based crypto investors, women accounted for 45% while their male counterpart amounted for remaining 55%. In Hyderabad, crypto investors have 42% in large cap, 26% in mid cap and 4% in small with 28% in bluechip.
