Chainlink Founder Sergey Nazarov

Sergey Nazarov, CEO of the decentralized oracle network Chainlink, recently expressed concerns over the past treatment of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. In a statement, he claimed that the sector had been “unfairly persecuted,” which hindered its potential growth and innovation. Nazarov believes that the industry’s past struggles were a result of unjust regulatory actions, which limited its advancement.

Nazarov described to Bloomberg reporters Sonali Basak and Tim Stenovec how industry representatives felt grateful about receiving backing from influential figures David Sacks, Bo Hines, and Tom Emmer at the conference. Every attendee at the summit agrees the crypto industry received undue oppression in the United States that restricted its development potential in the country.

The changing global economy prompts the U.S. government to become a leading force behind cryptocurrency and Web3 technologies that yield substantial economic benefits.

Nazarov stated that the administration supports crypto because it recognizes digital assets and decentralized systems as foundational elements for the global economy of the future. Private discussions after public sessions at the summit revealed this point in an unmistakable manner. He emphasized the U.S. has excellent potential to become worldwide Web3 and Web3 financial ecosystem leader through suitable policies establishing innovative environments and clear regulations.

Furthermore, Nazarov praised the Trump administration’s shift in policy, noting that the government’s recent stance would no longer “unfairly depress or persecute” the industry. His comments signal hope for a more favorable regulatory environment that could support blockchain technology’s future development.
