Interactive Brokers, an online brokerage firm, has expanded its cryptocurrency offerings and now offers Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE) to its clients, making the total number of cryptocurrencies available for trading to be eight.
This is a major step as Interactive Brokers changes its focus to cryptocurrency and enables users to invest in these tokens as well as traditional securities such as equities and bonds.
According to Bloomberg, they will be added to the list of cryptocurrencies that are available on the platform now, including Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and Ethereum (ETH). The four new cryptocurrencies will be available for all users with Zero Hash LLC accounts, while the Paxos Trust Co. clients will have access only to Solana, Bitcoin, and other primary tokens.
This expansion comes at the right time as the US government has recently shown more interest in cryptocurrencies. The latest development that has caused further stir in the crypto market is the announcement made by President Donald Trump regarding the creation of a Crypto Strategic Reserve with SOL, ADA, and XRP.
This news along with Solana’s institutional adoption and XRP’s legal proceedings have led to their listing on Interactive Brokers. With these assets, Interactive Brokers provides clients with more opportunities and potential for diversification in the digital currency market.
