Bybit To End Web3 Nft Marketplace, Shifts Focus To Core Trading

Popular cryptocurrency exchange Bybit took the decision to remove Web3 NFT Marketplace and Inscription together with IDO (Initial DEX Offering) as specific features from its cryptocurrency exchange.

Bybit formally declared on April 1, 2025 that it will cease operations of its Web3 NFT Marketplace alongside Inscription and IDO (Initial DEX Offering) features. All features including Web3 NFT Marketplace Inscription and IDO will exit the Bybit platform and remain unavailable for its users.

Bybit stated that the “phased decommissioning” of these services exists to “optimize platform offerings” without specifying the justification beyond what is available in the information. The company seems to decide on reorganizing its priorities by concentrating on essential aspects such as crypto trading or production enhancement or market adaptation.

The information lacks confirmation regarding regulatory factors or operational expenses as possible motivations for the platform’s alteration.

The resources of Bybit could be better allocated toward strengthening their existing strengths in spot trading and derivatives rather than investing in minor products.

Users accessing Bybit will lose access to the formerly available services. All unfinished IDO-related projects need completion elsewhere including NFTs along with inscriptions and other activities on alternative marketplaces and platform ecosystems.

Users have reportedly received requests from Bybit to finalize open transactions and withdrawals connected to these offered services before the services terminate.

Some users might be surprised since this transition points toward a reduction of certain Web3 innovations.
