Sam Altman, the CEO of US artificial intelligence (AI) company OpenAI, has recently praised India saying that India’s Adoption in AI is amazing to watch. According to Sam, India is showing a huge burst and advancement with new and exciting ideas in art and technology and its using AI to create things faster and better than other countries.

Altman has praised India in his recent X post stating that, “What’s happening in India right now is amazing to watch. We love to see the exploration of creativity India is outpacing the world.”

With availability of internet at cheap rates, millions of people in India are making videos, graphics, pictures and other creative works using AI tools. As per the Press Release by Ministry of Electronics and IT on 6th March, India is undergoing a remarkable transformation in AI under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Moreover, the Indian government is building an environment where computing power, GPUs, and Research opportunities will be accessible at an affordable cost. The union government has also established three AI centres of Excellence in healthcare, agriculture and sustainable cities at New Delhi with the budget of Rs. 500 crore.

Further Indian Billionaires like Mukesh Ambani and Tata Groups are making their move in AI by building AI centres in India. A Hyderabad based space tech startup has announced its ambitious project to make space science research more accessible to Indian people by launching an AI driven laboratory in space. Even Indian politician Raghav Chadha has mentioned the points on how India can develop and grow in AI sector by making its own AI model, at Rajya Sabha (Upper House).
