Pakistan Crypto Council Appoints Binance Founder Cz As Advisor

Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, the founder of Binance, has been appointed as a Strategic Advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC).

That means he’ll be helping the country figure out its next steps in the world of crypto, blockchain, and Web3.

According to a report by TechJuice, this news was shared during a meeting in Islamabad with Pakistan’s Finance Minister, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and other top officials, including the heads of the State Bank, SECP, and secretaries from the Law and IT departments. CZ even met with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister during his visit.

The Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), which works under the Finance Division, wants to bring more digital ideas into the country, especially when it comes to finance and tech, and the agency believes CZ is the right person to help with that.

“With CZ onboard, we are accelerating our vision to make Pakistan a regional powerhouse for Web3, digital finance, and blockchain-driven growth.” Finance Minister Aurangzeb said in the meeting.

As Strategic Advisor, CZ will be helping Pakistan build better crypto rules, stronger systems, and teaching more people how crypto works. He’ll also be working with both government folks and businesses to create an environment where crypto can grow safely and legally.

Bilal Bin Saqib, the CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council, said, “Pakistan is opening its doors to the future of finance. And who better to guide us on this journey than CZ — a pioneer who built the world’s largest crypto exchange and changed the way billions think about financial freedom.”

CZ also shared this thought about this, he said, “Pakistan is a country of 240 million people, over 60% of whom are under the age of 30. The potential here is limitless.”

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time CZ has teamed up with a country to help build crypto systems. Just last week, he signed a deal with the Kyrgyz Republic’s National Investment Agency to support blockchain projects there. Now, Pakistan is the next stop on his mission to bring Web3 to more places around the world.
