Social media is Brewing with a new story on Cardano, as multiple ADA promoters are sharing tweets that mastercard is launching a new card which will support Cardano ADA.
The claims are aimed to get readers attention by providing facts that 150 million shops let customers use Mastercard debit cards. With Cardano ADA as one of the options to pay via the card, the news is too big to get unnoticed.
However, No such official announcement has been made, so a bit of Fact Checking is necessary for this story.
The recent claims are from accounts on X, that actively promote Cardano and its native token ADA, one such is from @CardanoFeed.

Looking further into the story, we came across an old post from Revuto, a company that works with the Cardano blockchain. They have claimed to launch their own mastercard debit card.
They shared this during the announcement of a live Masterclass event led by Vedran Vukman, the CEO and founder of Revuto.
This Mastercard card is meant to help people pay for their subscription services, like Netflix or Spotify, using crypto. Revuto says it’s easy to use and built for everyone, that means “non-crypto and crypto users”
The card is reportedly powered by the U.S.-based crypto exchange Kraken and backed by funding from Idea Catalyst to support the adoption of Cardano in the real world.
Revuto showed off the card during the event to promote their Masterclass, where they also talked about more new features coming soon.
These include “Stake to Subscribe,” “Buy Now, Pay Later,” and “Subscription NFTs.” All of these tools are built to help people save money and even earn rewards just by paying for the things they already use.
However, there hasn’t been any official announcement from either Mastercard or the Cardano Foundation about this card or partnership.
As mastercard has not launched any cardano debit card, Revuto claims to have one, which could mean that users would be able to use this card at the places where Revuto as a payment gateway is accepted by merchants and not mastercard, as legal compliance can cause transactions to decline.
