Curve introduced Llamalend v2
On June 10, Curve Finance introduced Llamalend v2, an updated version of its non-custodial lending protocol, with initial deployment on the Optimism network. The upgrade enables Curve liquidity provider tokens to serve as collateral and expands support for a wider set of isolated lending markets.
Llamalend, first launched in early 2024, facilitates borrowing against collateral using the protocol’s decentralized stablecoin, crvUSD. The system incorporates a range-based liquidation mechanism known as LLAMMA, which converts collateral gradually into the borrowed asset as prices move rather than executing an immediate full liquidation at a single threshold.
