Bitcoin’s nine-day inflow streak ends
Bitcoin ETFs had been building momentum throughout the month. The 12 U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a nine-day inflow streak, bringing in about $3.1 billion during the run.
The inflow came as Bitcoin gained about 42% during the third quarter, according to data from CoinMarketCap (on October 1 at 18:00 UTC), helping the funds return to positive territory for 2026 after earlier outflows had weighed on their yearly figures.
The streak ended on September 30. According to SoSoValue (on October 1 at 18:00 UTC), U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $149 million in net outflows that day, with none of the 12 funds recording an inflow.

The broad outflows meant selling was spread across the funds rather than concentrated in one or two products.
According to data from SosoValue (on October 1 at 18:00 UTC), Fidelity’s FBTC recorded the largest outflow at about $125.58 million. Bitwise’s BITB followed with $13.63 million, while BlackRock’s IBIT recorded an outflow of $9.48 million. Trading volume across the Bitcoin ETFs reached about $2.36 billion, while total net assets stood at about $107.98 billion.
Ethereum ETFs face fresh outflows
Ethereum ETFs also faced selling pressure on the final day of the month. The funds recorded a combined $59.58 million in net outflows, with none of the 10 ETFs posting an inflow.
