Key Highlights
- NEAR Intents has added Robinhood Chain to its 1Click Swap API for cross-chain swaps, deposits, and withdrawals.
- Users can swap ETH and USDG against 180+ assets across more than 30 chains through NEAR Intents.
- Robinhood Chain assets, including USDG, PONS, and CASHCAT, are supported, with more assets expected to follow.
NEAR Intents has added Robinhood Chain to its 1Click Swap API, allowing users and developers to swap supported assets between Robinhood’s Ethereum layer-2 network and more than 30 other chains.
In an X post on October 8, NEAR Intents announced the integration, saying the functionality is already available through its platform and can also be integrated into third-party applications.
Robinhood Chain goes live on NEAR intents
The integration allows applications to route swaps involving Robinhood Chain through the API. NEAR Intents said users can currently swap ETH and USDG against more than 180 assets across more than 30 chains. The 180-plus figure covers assets supported across NEAR Intents and does not mean they are all native to Robinhood Chain.
Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum-based Ethereum layer-2, according to NEAR Intents’ documentation. The integration uses the chain identifier hood, with ETH used for gas.
Confidential transfers are available
NEAR Intents has enabled confidential swaps, deposits, and withdrawals involving Robinhood Chain. The initial supported assets listed in its documentation include HOOD, USDG, WETH, USDe, PONS and CASHCAT. These assets are available through both public and confidential routes.
The 1Click Swap API also supports confidential execution and limit orders for Robinhood Chain transactions.
Developers can integrate Robinhood Chain
Developers can integrate Robinhood Chain support into their own applications through the 1Click Swap API.
The API allows developers to request quotes, execute cross-chain swaps, and track transaction status. NEAR’s documentation also provides SDKs for TypeScript, Go, and Rust.
Robinhood Chain adds more asset connectivity
The NEAR Intents integration follows other efforts to bring additional assets to Robinhood Chain.
In August, The Crypto Times reported that Coinbase’s cbBTC was expanding to Robinhood Chain through Chainlink CCIP. The Bitcoin-backed token was being made available through Chainlink’s cross-chain infrastructure, with DeFi applications among the potential use cases.
The two integrations use different infrastructure, but both expand the ways assets can move onto or be used on Robinhood Chain.
NEAR Intents recently closed $3.8M exploit investigation
The Robinhood Chain integration comes days after a separate security incident involving NEAR Intents.
On October 2, NEAR Intents GM Alex Shevchenko said the full $3.8 million taken in an exploit had been returned before the October 4 deadline set for the alleged exploiter.
Shevchenko said the team had identified the exploiter and stopped its investigation after the funds were returned.
A BNB Chain transaction from an address labeled “Near Intents Exploiter 1” included a message saying that all funds had been returned. Shevchenko later said the tracing was handled by NEAR Intents’ internal team but did not disclose the methods used.
The exploit investigation is separate from the Robinhood Chain integration.
NEAR Intents has not provided a timetable for additional Robinhood Chain asset listings.
